Consumer Packaged Goods specialist the MMR Group has appointed nine new members of staff to support its growing client base.

Appointments by MMR Research Worldwide – the group’s sensory and consumer research specialist – include Vicki Widdowson as Associate Director and Cat Messenger as Senior Research Executive for the UK office, and two senior appointments for the US operation. The new starters also include three recent graduates.

Vicki Widdowson, Cat Messenger, Valerie Mialon and Elspeth MorganWiddowson was previously Research Manager at Buckingham Research Associates, and joins MMR after a career break to raise her two children. She has nine years’ research experience within the consumer goods sector.

Messenger joins from The Oxford Research Agency (TORA, now rebranded as Future Thinking), where she worked as a Research Executive on both quant and qual projects within the FMCG team.

Alice De Wend Fenton, who recently graduated from the University of Leeds, joins as Trainee Research Executive, having previously worked at Vodafone; and Tomasz Kazmierski, recently graduated from the University of Wales (Cardiff), joins in the same role. Tom Bowling joins the Data Analysis team as a Statistician, after graduating from the University of Southampton last year.

Project Controller David Williams is making the switch from catering to accounting, and is currently completing an AAT Level 3 qualification while working part-time in MMR’s accounts department.

In New York, Karen Segall joins as Research Director from Synovate where she worked as a Consultant and an Account Group Manager.

Additionally, Valerie Mialon re-joins the firm as Director, Sensory and Consumer Research, following a move to the US and a short career break to be a full-time mum. Building on her previous seven years at MMR in the UK, one of her first tasks as part of the US team will be to set up a sensory panel.

In MMR Group’s UKFS fieldwork division, Elspeth Morgan takes up the role of Costing Executive with around 20 years’ market research experience. She began her career as an interviewer, supervisor and trainer, and spent the last 10 years working in-house.
