In the UK, YouGov has appointed former ICM Research exec Jane Carn as Qualitative Research Director.
YouGov specialises in the use of online techniques to collect data for market research and stakeholder consultation. The firm uses the resulting data to provide companies with a view of their staff, customers, brands and investors, while also assessing opinion among the general public and the media.
Carn (pictured) joins with more than 15 years’ research experience. Most recently, she worked as an independent consultant, prior to which, she spent almost seven years as Qualitative Research Director at ICM Research, where she managed a team of qual researchers working across the technology, retail, financial and entertainment sectors. Prior to this, she was an Account Director at AMR Interactive in Australia, and an Associate Director at Ipsos MORI in the UK.
YouGov MD Phil Rance comments: ‘Jane’s experience working across a breadth of sectors in combination with a depth of knowledge gained in the UK and internationally, makes her a fantastic addition to the team. A strategic and commercial approach reinforces Jane as a perfect leader to drive growth and further strengthens our qualitative offering.’
