Scott KarambisIn the US, marketing and technology services firm SapientNitro has hired ad agency exec Scott Karambis as Vice President of Marketing Strategy and Consumer Insight, responsible for adding consumer and competitive insights to clients’ marketing plans.

In his new role, based in the firm’s Boston office, Karambis will lead the strategy team and help to implement new research approaches and methodologies. He joins from ad agency Amalgamated, where he served as Director of Account Planning. Prior to this he was Managing Partner/Director of Strategy at Mechanica, EVP, Director of Brand Planning at Mullen, and VP/Group Planning Director at Grey Worldwide. Earlier, he held planning roles at margeotes feritta and partners, and Saatchi & Saatchi.

Before his career in advertising, Karambis studied and taught creative writing and literature at the Iowa Writer’s Workshop and Harvard University.
