US-based MR and analytics provider In4mation Insights has appointed Dr Michael Nestrud as Director, Client Insights & Sensory Science, as it expands its Sensory Science Practice.
The firm specializes in consumer research, analytics and modeling to support studies of pricing, marketing ROI, NPD, segmentation and others.
Nestrud joins with a background in sensory evaluation, multivariate statistics, and culinary science. For just under four years, he has worked as a consultant for a number of food companies; and before this he was ORISE Postdoctoral Associate at the US Army Natick Research, Development & Engineering Center, where he co-ordinated research to develop meals and study related emotions.
He is currently a member of the Culinary Institute of America’s R&D Advisory Council as well as Co-Chair for the Society of Sensory Professionals Scientific Committee. He also serves on the article review board of Journal of Food Science, Culinary Science & Technology, Journal of Sensory Studies, Food Quality and Preference and Chemosensory Perception.
In4mation Insights co-founder and Partner Mark Garratt comments: ‘Michael’s expertise extends to methods of emotional measurement, visual perception and the integration of consumer product choice with sensory perception. He is the perfect person to lead the charge, so that in4mation insights can continue to integrate the sound lab-science of sensory research with the more dynamic enterprise of marketing.’
