Fox Broadcasting has promoted Kevin Reilly to the position of Chairman of Entertainment, with responsibility for the network’s programming, scheduling, marketing, research, digital and business affairs.
In his previous role as Fox’s Entertainment President, Reilly oversaw the debut of comedies Glee, New Girl and American Idol. Before joining the firm in 2007, he served as NBC's President of Entertainment, where he developed series such as The Office and Friday Lights.
Reilly takes over from Peter Rice, who was recently promoted to Chairman and CEO of Fox Networks Group. Commenting on the promotion, Rice said: ‘Kevin is a uniquely gifted executive with the strong strategic vision and creative instincts to ensure that Fox continues to drive the future of our industry. We are incredibly fortunate to have him here and thrilled he will be with us for many more years.’
