UK retail insight firm Counter Intelligence Retail (CIR) has appointed Sarah Richardson Clarke and Rachel Bailey as Research Managers, while Kathryn Maude joins as an Account Director and Allan Jensen as a Category Analyst.
Yorkshire-based CIR comprises three divisions: CIR Live! offering activation support for brands, categories, and retailers; CIR Research, which uses exploratory methods to unlock the insight needed to drive strategy; and CIR Category Development, which provides a data platform for developing engaging shopper tactics and informing retail improvement.
In addition, its ShopperPATH tool offers passenger and shopper insight throughout an airport, store, or category; while its ShopperREACH panel provides access to the opinions of thousands of travellers across more than 200 countries.
For the past four years, Richardson Clarke has run her own marketing and research consultancy, providing services to the public and private sectors. Prior to this, she was Group Research Manager at insurance company CPP Group, Market Research Manager at GE Money, Marketing Project Manager at RWE npower, and Market Planning Manager at Yorkshire Electricity.
Bailey joins from Swift Market Research in Wetherby, where she served as a Market Research Executive. Prior to this, she was Senior Research Consultant at Principles Research in Leeds, Market Research Manager at Provident Financial, and a Research Analyst at Yorkshire Building Society.
Maude joins CIR’s Category Development business, from Nestlé, where she served as Category Manager for the firm’s Confectionery Impulse division. In her new role, she will manage the Diageo team, to develop insight and category management solutions and increase sales within the travel category.
Jensen joins the Key Accounts team with an analytical background gained in roles at the Crown Prosecution Service and North Yorkshire Criminal Justice Board.
CIR MD Garry Stasiulevicuis says that the appointments demonstrate a ‘clear investment’ in the business and in how it works with and supports clients.
