Mike NelsonBristol-based customer insight and brand strategy consultancy 100%Cotton has appointed Mike Nelson as Insight Manager, with a remit to help build the firm's business in the building trade and home improvement sector.

Launched in 2007 by FMCG marketer Jonathan Salisbury and former TRBI Director Emma Partridge, the firm offers consultancy, qual, quant and desk research for clients including retailers, brands and public sector agencies. Earlier this year, the firm appointed stakeholder and employee engagement specialist Dawn Smith as Research Director.

Nelson (pictured) joins from Smiths Medical, part of the global technology company Smiths Group, where he served as a Market Research Analyst.

Salisbury comments: 'Clients are increasingly asking us to deliver a complete brand programme from insight to strategy to marketing plans. With his strong commercial research experience and design background, Mike will strengthen our capability in this area'.
