In the US, customer intelligence specialist Hypatia Research has appointed Harriette Bettis-Outland as Senior Research Fellow, with a focus on delivering business intelligence analytics, customer information management, CRM, and marketing strategy.

Lexington, MA-based Hypatia offers industry analyst primary research and advisory services such as product strategy roadmap guidance, go-to-market strategy, market sizing and forecasts, and RFQ assessment and support.

Bettis-Outland (pictured) joins with a background in market research, teaching, and sales. During her career, she has served as Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of West Florida, teaching DRM, marketing strategy, and sales techniques. She earlier worked in executive sales as Business Marketing Manager for Lotus Development, where she was responsible for growing client, vendor, and third-party relationships. Prior to this, she was a Systems Engineer at IBM for more than five years, and she began her career as a Financial Analyst at the Philadelphia National Bank.
