
UK polling firm Populus has appointed former FreshMinds Research exec Laurent Peacock as a Consultant with a focus on customer research.
Populus was founded in 2003 by Michael Simmonds and
Andrew Cooper, who is currently serving as Director of Strategy to Prime Minister David Cameron. The firm, which is best known for its polls for
The Times newspaper, offers panels of opinion formers and legislators, omnibus polls and focus groups as well as a separate data collection and processing business,
Populus Data Solutions.
At FreshMinds, Peacock (pictured) managed mixed methodology projects for clients in the not-for-profit, education, sports, consumer and public sectors. Prior to this he worked for Nielsen in Sydney, Australia as Manager, Client Service in the Customised division, running ad hoc quant projects for a mix of public and private sector clients. He began his research career with BMRB, before joining parent firm Kantar Operations, managing projects across group companies Research International, Millward Brown and BMRB.
In his new role working alongside and reporting to Director
Gary Muncaster, Peacock will work across a range of sectors including utilities, sports, broadcasting and telecoms, with a particular emphasis on customer satisfaction and brand perception.
