
Marcoms agency Cheil Australia has appointed shopper marketing specialist Peter Wilson as Head of Retail, as part of its plans to bolster its retail and shopper marketing services.
Established in 1973 with headquarters in Seoul, South Korea, Cheil operates 31 overseas offices in 26 countries with more than 2,000 employees. The firm offers a full portfolio of marketing communications services including advertising, PR, sports, marketing, exhibition and display production, and production of large-scale events.
Wilson (pictured) joins the firm’s Sydney office from his previous role of Head of Shopper Marketing at retail marketing specialist IdeaWorks, prior to which, he was Director, Shopper & Channel at Jigsaw Strategic Research. Earlier, he spent nearly seven years at TNS (Research Surveys) in South Africa, where he latterly worked as Head of Retail & Shopper, and he served as Client Service Director at TBSP, Marketing Director at SPS Marketing, and Account Executive at Wilson Keller & Associates.
