In the US, database marketing agency Merkle has hired Rich Fleck as VP Strategic Services for its Interactive Services division, where he will be responsible for further developing customized data-driven marketing approaches for the firm’s clients.

Prior to joining, Fleck was VP Strategic Services at Epsilon Interactive. Before this, he was a leader in the Strategic Services group at DoubleClick, co-founded a boutique analytics consulting firm, served as a consultant for Accenture, and managed the online analytics functions for two Internet start-ups – SafeRent.com and Gear.com.

Eric Kirby, SVP and General Manager of Merkle’s Interactive Services division commented: ‘Rich brings valuable experience to Merkle in the areas of interactive marketing and analytics. He also brings an understanding of what it is like to be on the client side, which makes him highly aware of challenges, resources and constraints facing marketers today.’
