US marketing technology provider Lyris has promoted Blaine Mathieu to the post of Chief Marketing Officer, in charge of product, marketing, market intelligence and corporate communications.
Most recently, Mathieu was SVP Marketing. Prior to that, he held the position of General Manager and VP of Product and Marketing at Corel Corporation, where he was responsible for creating global marketing and product strategies for a wide range of software products. During his career, Mathieu has held a variety of senior management positions at firms including Adobe Systems Incorporated and Gartner Group. He received his MBA from Athabasca University in Canada, and his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta.

Lyris – formerly known as JL Halsey – provides software solutions for e-mail marketing campaigns; web analytics; and publishing, managing and optimizing web site content. In September, the company launched a product to help marketers track the behaviour of those who respond to e-mail campaigns – and those who don’t.
