Hansa Marketing Services USA, Inc., a part of the R K SwamylHansa Group, has named Jeff Stewart in the new role of President of its US operations, based in Chicago, responsible for driving offerings including marcoms strategy and services, CRM and data analytics solutions and custom research. The firm has also appointed renowned marketing scholar Dr. V. Kumar as a senior advisor. Hansa Marketing Services USA is the group’s second US initiative, after it bought into Portland, Oregon-based GCR Custom Research a year ago, forming full-service researcher Hansa|GCR. Shekar Swamy, Group CEO, says the appointment is part of ‘a major thrust in the US market with an array of marketing services capabilities’. Stewart brings more than sixteen years’ market information experience – he was previously Head of Global Account Development for Harris Interactive based in NYC, and before that MD of Ipsos Russia & IPSOS Ukraine based in Moscow. He also worked at TNS in roles including SVP, Strategic Account Development, and Global Key Account Manager for a major global CPG company. He began his career in 1993 with The Gallup Organization, where he was latterly VP, Business Development. Dr. Kumar is the ING Chair Professor of Marketing, and Executive Director, ING Center for Financial Services in the School of Business, University of Connecticut. He has been ranked amongst the top 5 marketing scholars worldwide based on his research productivity, and has been published in journals such as the Harvard Business Review and the Journal of Marketing. He recently received two Lifetime Awards from the AMA Special Interest Groups for his contributions to the field of Marketing Strategy and Interorganizational Marketing.
