Claria Corporation has expanded its management team by hiring Robert King as Senior VP of Convergence. He will lead business development efforts in the converging technologies area, including the promotion of the firm’s new AxonSM patented personalization platform.

King has more than 20 years’ experience in business and product management with companies including Motorola, General Instrument, ACTV and SAIC. Most recently he was Senior Program Manager at Vulcan Inc., specialising in technology partnerships in the consumer electronic space, and new technologies for Broadband, Software and Content Distribution. Earlier, he cofounded two start-up technology-based companie.

Axon automatically identifies relevant content and information for consumers and delivers it to connected devices like PCs, set-top boxes and mobile phones.

President and CEO Scott VanDeVelde welcomes King’s ‘expertise in understanding content distribution and building strategic business relationships’ and adds: ‘With the addition of Bob to the executive team, we hope to expand our partnerships to provide consumers with personalized content and relevant advertising for connected device applications.’
