MDC Partners is promoting Ryan Linder from US CMO to EVP and Global CMO, as it steps its growth strategy. He replaces Bob Kantor, who left in July.

Linder (pictured) has spent six years at the company, helping to build its system of partner-client alliances. Robyn Freye, SVP of Strategic Growth USA, will take on some of Linder's US work, and the latter's team will also include Lotta Malm Hallqvist, CMO Europe, and MD Healthcare Ned Russel.

The move comes at a turbulent time for the company, which announced a month ago it was looking for a new CEO to succeed Scott Kauffman, and a week later said it was studying options including a potential sale.
