Recently formed 'data-driven strategy group' STRAT7 has appointed former ICM Research and Walnut Unlimited CFO Alex Knight as Chief Financial Officer.

STRAT7 was set up earlier this month, following the merger of specialist data and analytics agencies ResearchBods and Bonamy Finch and start-up LiFE. The new business aims to support clients throughout the data journey, with services based on ResearchBods' expertise in customer data and intelligence using its proprietary software; Bonamy Finch's ability to help organisations extract data-driven insights; and LiFE's techniques used to achieve a deeper understanding of consumers.

Knight (pictured) previously spent nearly five years ICM Unlimited / Walnut Unlimited as CFO and Chief Operating Officer; having previously been a Director at the group's sensory testing specialist Marketing Sciences Unlimited, and Director for the Unlimited Group (previously known as Creston). He began his early career at PwC and Omnicom.

In his new role, Knight will support the group's mergers and acquisitions activity, and its plans for international expansion, while taking the commercial lead on launching new technology inspired data solutions. His former Unlimited Group colleague Barrie Brian, who is now CEO of STRAT7, comments: 'Having worked with Alex before on the buy and build phase of Creston plc I'm confident he will implement the commercial and financial platforms instrumental for the growth and success of STRAT7. His experience in launching data solutions using video, neuroscience and eye tracking technology make him a great fit for the group and will help to extend our specialisms further.'
