Swedish motion capture technology provider Qualisys has appointed Sofia Karisson as Chief Financial Officer and Katarina Hjältman as Application Engineer, while Charlotta Smålander is promoted to the role of Director Quality, Regulatory Affairs and HR.

From its offices in Gothenburg, Chicago and Shanghai, Qualisys supplies clients with camera systems and expertise to capture and analyze movements. Karlsson, who most recently served as Financial Manager at Edvardssonbolagen AB, will be responsible for providing strategic financial support to senior management and playing a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures. Hjältman is a former Qualisys client, who will now work as a 'bridge' between customers and the engineering teams. She will also provide technical support to customers, testing applications, responding to customer feedback, installations, maintenance and performing sales presentations and demonstrations.

Smålander has been a consultant with Qualisys for the last three years; leading the implementation of the firm's management system, obtaining ISO 9001 certification and managing the work to register the company's Medical Device System (Qualisys Clinical System) around the world. Her responsibilities will now include quality management, development and maintenance of the management system including internal and external audits. She will also develop, facilitate and execute regulatory strategies through all phases of development and product lifecycle, while taking on the role of Director of Human Resources.
