Shopping and consumer opinions portal Ciao GmbH has appointed Harald Schiffauer, 38, in the newly-created role of Sales Director E-Commerce Europe. He joins Ciao from Pangora, a provider of product search and price comparison technology, where he worked for nine years, leading its international commercialisation strategy in Germany, France, Great Britain and Italy from 2001 and moving to run its Paris and Milan subsidiaries in early 2004. His new role puts him in charge of the pan-European development of the e-commerce partnerships for all Ciao platforms in the five biggest European economies plus the Netherlands and Sweden; and the development of the firm’s European-wide network of online merchants.
