SPA Future Thinking Sells Social Media Stake - 6/3/12

Irish broadcaster UTV Media has acquired social media monitoring specialist Simply Zesty from its founders Niall Harbison and Lauren Fisher, and from MR firm SPA Future Thinking which held a stake in the business. The deal is valued at up to £5m.


RadiumOne Raises $50m, Launches Content Sharing App - 5/3/12

In the US, social media ad targeting specialist RadiumOne is said to be closing a $50m investment round, and has launched Via.me, a new app for iPhone and desktop. The latter allows users to manage their output and content across multiple social networks.


Bazaarvoice Aims for $90m IPO - 10/2/12

US-based word-of-mouth specialist Bazaarvoice has announced it is to launch an initial public offering (IPO) of approximately 9.4 million shares, 9 million of which will have a target price range of between $8 and $10, with a further 484,000 offered by existing shareholders.

BrainJuicer Revenues up 26% to £20m - 19/1/12

International online specialist BrainJuicer has reported a 26% increase in full year revenue to £20m, for the 12 months ended 31 December 2011. In a trading update, the firm says this increase was primarily fuelled by continued growth in the US.


Saudi Prince Buys Twitter Stake - 19/12/11

Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed bin Talal has bought a $300m stake in Twitter. The buy comes after months of talks and constitutes ‘a strategic stake’ according to the Prince’s company, Kingdom Holding Co. (KHC).
