Why Stopgap?

Stopgap is not a ‘typical’ recruitment consultancy and we don’t want you to have a ’typical’ recruitment experience. Here are a few reasons why we’re different:

 

It’s all about you. Our candidates and clients come back to us time and time again because, quite simply, we put people first.

  Our consultants are experienced and knowledgeable ex-market researchers. We believe you have to have served your time in research in order to recruit into it.

  Our consultants are not paid a commission for each job they fill, which means you can be certain you’ll get unbiased, objective advice.

  We won’t pigeon hole our candidates. We’ll listen to what you want to do as much as understand what you are capable of doing.

Stopgap – freelance market research recruitment


Lara Fisher-Jones had over 12 years market research experience before joining Stopgap in December 2003. She initially spent six years on the agency side in the UK and Asia (MORI and Isis Research Hong Kong) before moving over to the clientside and working for Orange, Legal & General, British Airways and Shell. Now, she specialises in freelance roles here at Stopgap.

Maryline Bigot worked for a Direct Marketing agency before joining Stopgap 10 years ago. She spent four successful years working on the Agency recruitment team before moving within the company to its dedicated Market Research team, in which she now offers six years of expertise. Maryline covers junior level freelance market research appointments across all sectors.




Stopgap – permanent market research recruitment


Emma Long has over 8 years in the market research industry having started her career at Research International, primarily in research and later in a marketing-focused role. Emma then moved to Hall & Partners, specialists in advertising and branding communications and later to freelance contracts with NOP Financial and Insight Research Group. Having been with Stopgap since 2004 she now job-shares with Jane Powell looking after permanent market research roles.

Jane Powell joined Stopgap in 1998 and is credited with developing the Market Research division. She now works as a part time consultant in a job-share with Emma Long, on the permanent side of the business. Prior to Stopgap, she gained 12 years of research experience, having begun her career at MORI and then moving clientside to become a Research Manager for Unilever and L'Oreal Paris.
