Associate Manager - Assortment Practice Area, New York

JOB SPEC: As an Associate Client Manager you will support and develop Nielsen’s Custom Analytics Assortment Practice Area business and client relationships by designing, selling, executing, and presenting analytic studies to meet clients' assortment-related research objectives and drive Custom revenue and client satisfaction.

-Act as a specialist in assortment research methodologies with deep understanding of statistical techniques utilized.
-Be able to explain methodology behind all key services areas to clients.
-Understanding of client organizations and the CPG industry.
-Collaborate with other Nielsen divisions to provide client support and develop solutions.
-Thorough knowledge of Nielsen products and services providing fact-based, supported advice.
-Ownership of client engagement, focusing on long-term client needs
-Identifies overarching client issues and proactively works to resolve them.
-Design study by applying appropriate Custom Analytics service to client business issue with an understanding of client budget constraints
-Thorough knowledge of the client's categories to support action based recommendations.
-Responsible for leading client meetings and presentations including findings and recommendations.
-Manage client's expectations around delivery and ensure that our team meets or exceeds them.

Qualifications

-3-5 years of experience
-Bachelor's degree required
-Major in quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Sociology, etc.) or quantitative course work
-Relevant industry and analytical market research experience
-Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
-Strong quantitative skills
-Effective oral and written communication skills
-High attention to detail and organization
-Recognized expertise in one or more service areas
-Consulting and client management expertise
