JOB SPEC: Under the supervision of the TNS Global Controller, this position is to perform financial reviews and provide financial support and guidance to their assigned regions for monthly and quarterly reporting Kantar reporting on a fixed timetable, accurately and reliably. In addition to standard financial monthly and quarterly reporting, this position will handle various ad-hoc reporting requests.
Aid in design of process and build excel models to support annual budget, reforecast and monthly reporting processes
Financial reporting for North America, Latin America and Central HQ
Monthly and Quarterly financial reviews of country submissions
Participation in monthly CFO financial review calls
Preparation of monthly and qtrly variation analysis against budget, reforecast and prior year
Reforecast Squeeze report maintenance in Cartesis, generation and distribution
Monthly Execo book maintenance in Cartesis, generation and distribution
Orderbook database maintenance in Cartesis
Creation and/or maintenance of various Cartesis upload files
Budget 2013 target template maintenance in Excel/Cartesis
Cartesis structure maintenance and security requests
MPLB reconciliations - compilation for TNS Group
Balance sheet variances reconciliations – compilation for TNS Group
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 5+ years relevant experience
Solid understanding of Accounting Principles
Advance Microsoft Office skills, including: Excellent Excel modeling tools, including the ability to manipulate data using Macros, Look-ups, Pivot Tables, embedded IF statements, graphical tools, etc.
Strong PowerPoint skills
Strong work ethic
Procurement experience or knowledge of the market research industry
Working knowledge of financial consolidation packages such as Cartesis or Hyperion
Knowledge of Maconomy is a plus
Excellent problem solving skills
Knowledge of accounting and accounting principles sufficient to prepare complex and detailed financial and budgetary analysis and to address a variety of issues.
Excellent writing skills sufficient to draft professional reports and correspondence that is clear and concise.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work cooperatively and gain consensus with persons at all levels in the organization.
Work cross-functionally to implement policies and create processes
Ability to collect, assimilate, and analyze data quickly with a high degree of accuracy, while maintaining sight of the overall goal or objective.
Proven ability to multi-task and organize effectively to work to fixed and tight deadlines
Strong team player with capacity to work autonomously when required
Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, especially with regards to sensitive or confidential personnel or organizational matters.
