Our client is a leading education consultancy that delivers campaigns, strategies and insights that engage young people, parents, consumers, teachers and opinion leaders. This is an organisation where their work really does have a high impact on their clients who include high profile government departments, charities and bluechip organisations. This is a great organisation with experts coming from a range of backgrounds including teaching, sponsorship, branding, advertising, research, social policy, publishing and digital media. Their track record is impressive and can be seen by their enviable bluechip client list and the numerous awards that they have won.

Unique in their offer, they build bespoke approaches, deliver insights and advise on future direction providing successful research focussed initiatives alongside strategy development at a national and international level.

For the first time in a number of years, they are looking for a Head of Research to join a growing and increasingly high profile research team. A senior role within this business, once proven, there is potential for this individual to sit on the board.

We are looking for someone who can lead from the front; someone who enjoys actively working on mixed method projects incorporating primary and secondary research as well as develop a commercially focussed strategy. Added to this, you will have a track record of publishing high level communication pieces and have experience of writing and winning successful tenders for new and existing clients. We are looking for a real people person with outstanding management skills ie someone who takes pleasure in nurturing, mentoring and really bringing on teams. It is important to note that we are looking for a leader, not just a manager. What is exciting about this role is that there is lots of scope to put your own stamp on this role with a view to develop new strands to the business, bring on board new research tools, projects and in general inject some fresh ideas.

Successful candidates will have both quantitative and qualitative research skills, (hands on quantitative research is key). Candidates are likely to come from a traditional research agency where the core focus has been consumer research in education, wider social policy or behaviour change. You could also come from the private sector providing you can demonstrate a genuine interest and knowledge in the area of education and children.
