Introduction:

This is a rare chance to be the connective tissue between executive ambition and operational reality - helping to shape the change from the inside, and collaborating with senior operations leadership on transforming delivery.

Organisations talk about transformation constantly. Few actually do it. This role puts you at the centre of a transformation that is already underway with board-level backing and the real authority to drive change.

You'll own specific change initiatives across multiple Operations sub-functions, deploying & ensuring adoption of AI and automation tools. The work is complex, cross-functional and will require every skill you have.

Reporting directly to the COO, you'll be the bridge between executive vision and frontline reality; equally credible with senior Exec sponsors and on the workshop floor. When this programme concludes, you'll have a defining career credential: proven accountability for transforming how a global operations function works.


Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Support the translation of the Operations' AI & automation roadmap into structured, sequenced programmes of work that deliver real results.
  • Manage risks and defend transformation progress at senior level.
  • Ensure alignment between strategy and broader corporate objectives, adapting as context evolves.
Operating Model & Process Redesign
  • Lead specific change initiatives across multiple Operations sub-functions simultaneously.
  • Establish clear governance structures and success measures for each initiative you own.
AI & Automation Deployment
  • Support the integration of AI and automation tools with core systems across specific sub-functions.
  • Embed responsible AI principles and compliance requirements.
Change Management & Adoption
  • Lead the people-side of change: workforce impact assessment, reskilling, communications and adoption measurement.
  • Build psychological safety so employees engage with, rather than resist, new ways of working.
  • Drive measurable behavioural adoption, not just technology deployment.
Value Realisation & Performance
  • Monitor KPIs and value realisation measures for each initiative.
  • Track benefits, manage risk, and drive course-correction.
  • Report programme performance with honesty and rigour to executive sponsors.

Your profile:

Essential Experience
  • 7-10 years leading complex operational or business transformation programmes.
  • Proven accountability for at least one major AI or automation deployment, not just involvement.
  • Experience redesigning processes across multiple sub-functions concurrently.
  • Regional or global management experience with a track record of driving workforce adoption.
Knowledge & Skills
  • AI fluency within operational environments.
  • Formal or applied expertise in change management (Prosci ADKAR, Kotter, or equivalent).
  • Process redesign capability - Lean, Six Sigma, or equivalent methodology.
  • Strong communication: able to simplify complexity and hold a room.

Strong experience is valued above academic credentials. Certifications in Prosci ADKAR, PMP/MSP, or Lean Six Sigma are a plus, but what matters most is a track record of making change real.
