Itracks/Greenfield Online Venture

Online software provider Itracks has just announced the acquisition of the patent for online focus groups from US agency Greenfield Online. This represents the next stage in developing the company's Online Focus Group facility.

As part of the agreement, Greenfield Online will continue to offer online focus groMRS Conference 2002 Info & Registrationl use Itracks' Online Focus Group facilities to do so. These are designed to give access to the usual type of data, along with the online benefits of anonymity, immediate transcript access and precise moderator control.

Commenting on the move, Daniel Weber, Itracks President and CEO, noted 'We felt that by owning the patent we could best serve not only our clients, but also the long-term growth potential of online qualitative research. This patent is an excellent fit with our goal of developing and improving our tools for the overall benefit of the market research industry. In essence, the deal allows both of our companies to concentrate our energies on our own core competencies.'

Weber added, 'Itracks has been at the forefront of this industry because we are convinced of the growing importance of online research as an effective data collection method, and are working to make effective online qualitative and quantitative research more widely available, cost-effective, and easier to use for the market research community.
