WARC Appoints Research Director | October 8 2003 |
The World Advertising Research Center (WARC) has announced the appointment of Colin Macleod as Research Director. Macleod will take charge of WARC's advertising spend and media data products including the statistical and forecasting services compiled on behalf of the UK Advertising Association.
The appointment reflects WARC's intention to make major new investments in the development of its data and statistics portfolio, following the creation of warc.com.
Macleod spent more than seven years at Carat Insight as Research and Development Director, and twelve prior to that at Yershon Media. Earlier he worked at Cadbury Schweppes and Leo Burnett.
Mike Waterson, Chairman and founder of WARC, says that the Centre has taken time looking for someone with Macleod's particular mix of skills and experience. 'We want to develop and extend WARC's statistics product portfolio to offer our clients more versatile and comprehensive solutions to their data needs. Colin's arrival starts this process and his efforts will be focused very clearly on web delivery as the key vehicle'.
