Mercator Advisory Group
In the US, payments and banking industry research and advisory firm Mercator Advisory Group has appointed former Mastercard exec Peter Reville as Director of Primary Research Services.
Marlborough, MA-based Mercator Advisory Group is also the publisher of the online payments and banking news and information portal PaymentsJournal.com. Reville (pictured) joins after more than a decade at Mastercard, where as VP, Global Insights & Analytics he used quant and qual techniques to explore the importance of the brand in card selection, the development of mobile payments, shopper dynamics, and understanding how small, medium, and large merchants use payments. In addition, he worked with the firm's Global Insights team to publish thought leadership on several issues relevant to the payment space. Prior to joining Mastercard, Reville worked at the Willard & Shullman Group and Research International.
In his new role, Reville will lead the company's primary research products, including its CustomerMonitor Survey Series (CMSS); Small Business Survey Series, and Customer-Merchant Experience research data sets and analytic reports. He will also oversee primary research based project engagements. Commenting on the appointment, President and CEO Robert Misasi said: 'Pete's deep subject matter expertise and rich data background will be a tremendous asset to our clients.
