North of England agency Spark Market Research has appointed Alex Hunter as Commercial Director, tasked with helping the firm drive its ambitions in the UK, Ireland and further abroad.
Spark, which has offices in Leeds, London and Dublin, says it aims to provide brands with a 'true understanding' of both emotional and functional human behaviour. Hunter (pictured) joins from integrated design and research agency Visuality, where he served as Research and Planning Director, before which he worked for marketing and insight agency Hearth Group as Insight and Strategy Director, and he was Range and Insight Manager at Bettys & Taylors of Harrogate. Earlier, he was Category and Consumer Insight Manager at Park Café Bakeries, and he worked for Asda, helping to understand the ROI of retail media and shopper marketing executions through various data stream analyses.
In addition to his new role, Hunter also serves as Client Strategist at insight-driven Audience Collective, a group of agencies pooling their expertise to help brands better connect with their audiences, and which Spark recently joined. The Collective now includes eight agencies and more than 190 professionals across the UK and Ireland.
