Rhiannon Staples Audience insights technology company GWI has appointed Rhiannon Staples as Chief Marketing Officer, based in the firm's US headquarters in New York.

GWI (previously known as GlobalWebIndex) helps brands, media organizations and agencies to 'get closer to their audiences' by means of a subscription-based platform, analytics tools and a flagship survey it says represents more than two billion people globally. A year ago, the firm raised $180m in a Series B round of funding, which it is using to scale the business.

Staples (pictured) joins with more than fifteen years' experience of building marketing teams for global tech companies. Most recently, she served as CMO of HR platform provider HiBob. Before this, she worked for business intelligence software developer SiSense as Head of Brand Marketing.

In her new role, Staples will lead the strategy and execution of GWI's brand marketing, product marketing, client communication and demand generation.
