Priceagent
In Stockholm, pricing strategy specialist Priceagent has added former Amazon and Walmart pricing leader Philip Carls and form Cint exec Oscar Carlsson to its Board of Directors. Carlsson will also serve as the firm's interim Chief Product Officer.
Priceagent's platform uses real-time data from a pool of more than 300 million verified consumers worldwide, alongside advanced analytics, to help businesses optimize their pricing strategy and drive growth. Clients can run price sensitivity tests in minutes, using real consumer feedback. Earlier this month the firm raised $550,000 in seed funding, for use in recruiting, sales expansion and global roll-out of its self-service platform.
Carlsson is already an advisor to the company, and has now also invested in it. Carls (pictured) brings expertise in pricing, analytics and marketing across retail and e-commerce - this includes designed the pricing strategy that helped establish Walmart as the largest US grocer. He also worked on pricing optimization at antivirus company Symantec and as Head of EU Pricing at Amazon. Most recently he was VP of Pricing and Assortment at AUTODOC.
