MR Sales Consultancy Launched
In the US, former Common Knowledge exec Paul Kirch has launched ActusMR, Inc., a consultancy promising to help market research firms improve or create a successful sales infrastructure.
As well as consulting on sales strategy, the firm will offer sales representation, virtual sales team management, social media applications and specialized services to locate customers and find respondents from previous studies.
Kirch was previously VP of Business Development at Common Knowledge Research Services, now part of ToLuna; and before that spent ten years in operations roles at The Gallup Organization before moving to sales and business development, with a focus on Internet research and panel sample. He is a keen participant in industry associations and is currently Immediate Past-President and board member of the NorthWest MRA.
Kirch says many MR suppliers 'once survived solely off of word-of-mouth marketing and referrals, but now find it difficult to thrive in an increasingly competitive market place'. His company aims to 'avoid many traditional sales 'tactics' and focus more on helping firms develop approaches that are natural, honest, believable and complimentary to their company mission', hence its tagline 'Actionable + Usable Management Resource.'
