Launch for Analysis Unit LnxPharma

In the US, Lnx Research has launched a new market research division called LnxPharma, dedicated to using social network analysis (SNA) tools and techniques to help pharma, biotech and government clients better understand how communities function.

LnxResearch, which is based in Irvine, California, utilizes proprietary SNA methods and technologies to identify and understand key opinion leaders. The new division is headed by SNA specialist Philip Topham, who has been General Manager at the firm since 2006. In his expanded role, he will map scientific communities and analyze data to hone in on the key opinion leaders, innovators, information brokers and organizations relevant to clients' specific needs, to enable them to tailor their strategies to the communities they work with.

'We've repeatedly seen organizations focusing on North America, unaware that Europe or Japan is setting the research agenda, or selecting science partners and key opinion leaders from a list of 'high publishers' without understanding how those people fit within the big picture,' explained Topham. 'There's a lot to understand about SNA, but by working with government and industry leaders we are rapidly advancing.'
