Research Now and Reed Launch First B2B Panel

Online panels specialist Research Now has teamed up with Reed Business Information's (RBI) 'Computer Weekly' magazine to create a purpose built panel of IT professionals across the UK.

RBI's Computer WeeklyKnowIT is the first in a series of specialist B2B panels to be offered through the partnership with RBI, which also owns brands such as New Scientist, Farmers Weekly and Estates Gazette. Plans to develop the panels broke last autumn.

Computer Weekly and its online version have a circulation of 104,500 and subscribers to the panel are invited to participate in confidential surveys tailored to their particular areas of expertise, while earning financial rewards for themselves or for a charity, including a £20 gift voucher on completion of their first survey.

Commenting on the launch, Research Now CEO Chris Havemann states: 'Our experience in panel management and fieldwork, combined with the professional credentials of Computer Weekly's readers, will provide trustworthy insights for researchers. As the first phase in building a family of targeted business-to-business panels, we look forward to extending this to other sectors.'

RBI's Head of Research Diane Lewis says that since the launch, the group has been experiencing interest among its other B2B communities.
