Openwave Rolls Out Mobile Usage Analytics

In the US, mobile software firm Openwave has launched an analytics solution to enable operators to gain detailed network and usage-related insights across a wide range of operator data sources.

Anurag PatnaikBased in Redwood City, California, Openwave offers predictive solutions driven by real-time analytics that can provide customers with a 360-degree view of their network, devices and services so as to optimize network resources, quickly launch mobile services, and provide a relevant user experience.

The firm's new 'Data Mediation Edition' (DME) analytics tool enables users to build profiles and segments, and convert insights into new revenue streams for operators. Dashboards offer key performance indicators for both network operations and marketing executives, while reports are available by subscriber segment, along with repeat-visit analysis and capabilities to monitor and analyze video and transaction-level data.

'Operators cannot effectively manage and monetize their traffic without a clear picture of what is happening on their networks,' explained Anurag Patnaik, Director of Product Management for Analytics. 'DME provides a solution that monitors data network traffic and usage behavior, tracking emerging trends and uncovering usage behavior insights that can help facilitate new revenue opportunities.'
