Hoover's Upgrade Promises 'Value Beyond Data'
Business information firm Hoover's, Inc. has announced a new platform including workflow, integration and research/targeting tools aimed at helping clients deliver a more personal and relevant customer experience.
'Hoover's recognizes that customers are seeking value beyond data' says Hyune Hand, Hoover's President. 'While quality data is certainly a foundational element of any Sales 2.0 tool, our customers are finding increased value in the tools they use to access and act upon data'.
In addition to improved navigation, the new site delivers new and enhanced functionality, including: customizable sales alerts and event triggers using real-time information about prospects and customers from news feeds and company web sites; downloadable Family Trees showing company/group structures; a customised Notes & Tags feature giving 'mini CRM' functionality; plus downloadable financial charts and graphs, and customizable competitive landscapes.
The new Hoover's also provides upgraded company, people and industry intelligence using contacts databases covering more than 65 million enterprises and 85 million professional contacts worldwide. Additional actionable information includes in-depth First Research Industry Profiles, enhanced Hoover's company records and a 'Build A List' tool, with more data points and fields for better targeting and qualifying. The List tool uses Hoover's ConnectMail, powered by Jigsaw, to download from among millions of Jigsaw email addresses for targeted campaigns.
Plug-and-play integration with major CRM players, and an industry standard Web services API for workflow application integration are also new.
