Doctors Omnibus Changes Up a Gear

medeConnect Healthcare Insight, the market research division of Doctors.net.uk, has upgraded its GP Omnibus research service, reducing delivery times to two weeks. The service taps the opinions of a regionally and nationally representative sample of 1,000 GPs once a month.

Doctors.net.uk boasts the vast majority of UK doctors as members - current total membership is 173,000 and more than 50,000 use the service each week for its clinical content, news and discussion, making it the largest 'and most active network' of UK medical professionals. Created by doctors in 1998, it now has around 600 doctors acting as advisers and clinical information contributors. medeConnect was launched last August to offer survey access to a sample of this group.

Turnaround time for the omnibus was previously five weeks. Pricing has not changed with the faster service.

Head of Research Louise Shearer comments: 'Our team has worked tirelessly to reduce the turnaround time of this valuable research without compromising its robustness or quality. The result is that we can now gauge and respond to GP attitude and opinion even more promptly with the benefit of no added cost.'

MedeConnect, online at www.medeconnect.net , also offers other quant and qual online research, covering both primary and secondary care.
