RAJAR Seeks New Leader

RAJAR Chief Executive Sally de la Bedoyere has announced she will leave the UK radio audience measurement organisation at the end of June.

A spokesman for the body said it had already begun the search for a replacement. De la Bedoyere, who joined RAJAR in January 2004, commented: 'I have accomplished most of the things I set out to do, from introducing a new contract in 2007 to launching the MIDAS Surveys in 2007, as well as undertaking thorough and exhaustive tests into electronic measurement systems and devices.'

RAJAR Chairman David Mansfield says De la Bedoyere has 'achieved a tremendous amount for RAJAR over the past six years, often in very challenging circumstances' and adds: 'On behalf of the RAJAR Board I would like to thank her for her commitment to RAJAR and the radio industry and wish her every success for the future.'

Before joining RAJAR in December 2003, De la Bedoyere spent spent 15 years at parent Associated Newspapers and was then MD at its subsidiary The Evening Standard. She leaves RAJAR with no new position lined up.
