French Debut for Peanut Labs

Social media sample provider Peanut Labs has launched a sample for France, profiling users from an online population of over 3 million unique individuals; and says it will shortly roll out its Social Media Gamers Sample in the country.

Respondents are profiled on demographic attributes including age, gender, geography, household income, level of education, marital status and number, and children's age and gender. The firm can also profile for respondents who are pregnant and their duration of pregnancy.

The 'Social Media Gamers' panels, first launched in the US in December, include players of console, PC, handheld and online games.

Peanut Labs' social media sample offering is based on partnerships with more than 400 networks and applications. It also provides services such as programming and hosting.

The company launched an Australian sample in February, consisting of over 226,000 respondents, and said twenty other countries would follow, many in 2010. It already works in the US and the UK.

SVP Sean Case says France offers huge potential for social media studies: 'According to a report by Strategy Analytics, 75% of French users will have enrolled on at least one social network in 2012. Staggering statistics like this emphasize the impact that social media has on empowering market researchers to access a new and unique group of respondents.'

Based in San Francisco and with offices in Seattle and New York City, the company is online at www.peanutlabs.com .
