Rentrak Hires for New Office in Chicago

US multi-screen measurement specialist Rentrak has opened a new office in Chicago, where it has appointed Nancy Beall as Director of Local Sales, Midwest Region.

Headquartered in Portland, Oregon, the firm has additional US offices in Los Angeles, New York City and Miami, as well as operations in Canada, Mexico, the UK, Germany, France, Argentina and Australia.

Rentrak conducts measures across numerous platforms including box office, home entertainment, video on demand and linear television, broadband and mobile.

Yesterday, DRNO >reported that the firm is working towards Media Rating Council (MRC) approval for its TV Essentials audience measurement service, which was previously based on set-top-box data from 2 million homes and is about to be integrated with TV viewing data from satellite firm DISH Network's 14 million subscribers.

Beall joins the new office with more than 20 years' market management and sales experience. Most recently, she served as Executive Director, Business Development for research-based strategy consultancy Frank N. Magid Associates, where she worked with local TV stations on the development of new media business.

Prior to this, she was VP of Operations for spot-cable rep firm NCC Media, and a Senior Account Executive at Nielsen Media Research, where she worked with clients such as ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC.
