NMG Buys CATI Agency Dataquest

In the UK, financial services research consultancy NMG has acquired CATI specialist Dataquest Research Consultants. Terms were not disclosed.

NMG's David BurnsEstablished in 1999, NMG delivers solutions to companies operating in the insurance and wealth management industries, including knowledge leadership insights and trends. The firm has 15 offices operating across five continents, and employs around 300 staff worldwide.

Dataquest, which was founded in 1985, provides quant financial services research from its in-house CATI unit in Torpoint, Cornwall.

The firm's MD David Morton will continue to lead the firm, and its five staff and 24 part-time interviewers will also remain with the company.

Morton said there is a 'natural fit' between the two businesses, and added that the move will enable clients to benefit from a 'comprehensive full service approach' to research and strategy consulting.

'We are delighted to add the considerable capabilities of Dataquest to NMG's financial research offering,' states NMG Director David Burns. 'We believe having an in-house CATI solution will benefit our clients hugely by providing a quality approach, with deep market knowledge that will be hard to find elsewhere.'
