MTV Networks Promotes Tellet for Insight Role

In New York, MTV Networks has promoted Hispanic consumer expert Nancy Tellet to the position of Senior Vice President of Research and Consumer Insights for Latin America, Canada, and the US Hispanic market.

Nancy TelletMTV Networks is a division of media giant Viacom, which oversees the operations of a number of TV channels and Internet brands.

Most recently Tellet served as VP of Consumer Insights for MTV Latin America, Canada and the US Hispanic market. Before joining the firm, she was Director of Media and Strategic Planning at Hispanic ad agency Siboney USA, and earlier in her career she worked for ad agencies J. Walter Thompson and Saatchi and Saatchi's Conill.

In her new role, she is responsible for managing all research and planning activities for the company's brand portfolio (MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon and Tr3s), in addition to leading research processes including market analysis, rating studies and research development for the brand and its audience in the consumer market and in industry.

She will also be in charge of the Cooltura Panel Study, which offers insights into the channel's programming, as well as social issues affecting Latinos and the unification of Latin and American cultures.

Tellet reports to Jose Tillan, who is GM and EVP of MTV's bilingual entertainment channel MTV Tr3s; as well as to Scot McBride, who is COO and EVP of MTV Networks Latin America, Canada and US Hispanic.
