Farber Rejoins Arbitron Board
In the US, ratings giant Arbitron has re-appointed Erica Farber as a Director. She gave up her seat on the Board in 2006 when VNU - the owner of Nielsen Media Research - acquired music trade publication Radio & Records, where she worked as Publisher and CEO.
 Farber is currently CEO of radio consulting and Internet service provider The Farber Connection, which she founded in 2010.
She worked for ten years at Radio & Records, a weekly title that followed the radio industry and tracked the performance of current songs by format, station and audiences. Her roles here included COO from 1994 to 1996. Prior to this, she was General Sales Manager and General Manager, Director of Business Development & Promotion for McGavren Guild, EVP/Radio Development for Interep, and EVP for Schubert Radio Sales.
'Erica is well respected within the radio and broadcasting industry and has first-hand knowledge of the issues and challenges facing those businesses,' states Philip Guarascio, Chairman of the Arbitron Board of Directors. 'Her background will provide us with a valuable perspective and will be especially useful in guiding Arbitron's development and growth.'
