Synovate Opens Dedicated S.A. Mystery Shopping Unit

Synovate has launched a dedicated Mystery Shopping business unit in South Africa, led by its former Operations Director Samantha Lloyd.

Samantha LloydSynovate says its Mystery Shopping business has grown more than 10% annually over the last 5 years, and it anticipates continued growth following the establishment of the separate business unit.

The firm offers walk-in and telephone mystery shopping, as well as produce and price auditing (incorporating real-time data entry). PDAs are used for data collection, and hidden video cameras are in place for 'stealth recording' of events during a mystery shop.

'This has been a natural development as this part of our business has been growing substantially in recent years,' states MD Charlotte Jackson. 'The project team has more than doubled and we have formal structures and systems in place to support the business which includes the recent appointment of Samantha Lloyd.'

Lloyd joined the company in 2001, since when she has held the role of Operations Director. As Mystery Shopping Business Unit Director, she will oversee business development, innovation, improving efficiency, and the quality of delivery offered to clients.
