Pike Research Opens DC Office
In the US, cleantech market intelligence firm Pike Research has opened an office in Washington DC, from where it plans to 'get closer' to players in the energy industry and in government. The firm is also planning to open an office in London in the near future.
 Boulder, Colorado-headquartered Pike was founded last year by former ABI Research leader Clint Wheelock, to provide market research and industry analysis for the global clean technology markets.
The company's methodology combines supply-side industry analysis, end-user primary research, demand assessment, and examination of technology trends.
Its new office will focus on policy analysis as well as key industry sectors such as renewable energy, clean transportation, smart grid and building efficiency.
'Washington has become an epicenter of activity for the clean technology markets, both from an industry and a public policy standpoint,' Wheelock said. 'The new office will help us be closer to some of our key clients as well as many of the decision-makers that are helping to shape the future of the energy and technology industries.'
