Polk Opens New HQ in 'More Efficient' Space

In the US, auto research and information specialist Polk has completed the move of its corporate headquarters and 450 employees to a smaller location in Southfield, Michigan, which it says is more efficiently designed to accommodate the same number of staff.

Stephen PolkPolk collects and interprets global data, and provides auto business expertise to help clients understand their market position, identify trends, build brand loyalty and develop new business.

As well as its operations in the US, the firm has offices in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Spain and the UK.

The move was first announced in April and takes Polk from a 170,000 square foot office in the First Center building two miles away to a 138,000 square foot location in the Travelers Tower II Building. While the new space is smaller, Chairman, President and CEO Stephen Polk says that it is more efficiently designed, and provides more convenient access for the firm's customers.

The new building is the former office of now-defunct auto supplier Collins & Aikman, before which it was home to EDS.

'We are excited to announce the opening of our new corporate offices,' enthused Polk. 'The opportunity to keep our headquarters in the hub of Detroit's automotive industry is key to meeting the growing needs of our clients.'
