Harris Appoints UK Head of Qual

Harris Interactive, which is in the process of restructuring its UK business following a major contract loss, today announced the appointment of Steve Reiman, an expert in managing online communities and usability trials, as Head of Qualitative Research.

Reiman is the company's first major appointment since it instigated the UK shake-up following a drop in takings in the three months ending 31st December.

Reiman's brief is to 'ensure clients benefit from fresh ways of engaging with both consumers and stakeholders to drive sharper insight into their organisations'. He has spent the last six years working client side with technology companies such as O2, Sky and Vodafone. Prior to this, he worked for 10 years at HPI Research as a Partner in their Qualitative Unit.

Patrick Van Bloeme and Nathalie Perrio-Combeaux, recently appointed co-CEOs of Harris UK and France said in a joint statement: 'We are delighted to welcome Steve to Harris Interactive. His wealth of expertise will accelerate the continued development of innovative Qualitative solutions to excite and inspire our clients.'

Reiman comments: 'Given my recent client-side experience, my mantra is to see insight through our clients' eyes and to then help develop more effective ways of creating impact and bringing it to life within their company.'

Harris has also transferred Stephen Mellor and Lisa Garthside to its Qualitative team.
