Scandinavian Launch for Converseon

US-based social media consultancy Converseon has expanded to the Nordic region with the opening of an office in Copenhagen, serving clients across Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland.

Jan MortensenFounded in 2001 and headquartered in New York, Converseon provides management consulting, activation, research and listening tools, to help clients make the best use of social media. It already has offices in Detroit, San Francisco, London, Switzerland and Australia.

Last October, the firm released an update of Conversation Monitor, its social media monitoring platform which now offers access to around 90 million tweets per day, via Twitter Firehose.

The new office will be led by industry veteran Jan Mortensen (pictured) who says that the growth in social media in the Nordic regions make Converseon's solutions an ideal fit for these markets.

As part of its latest announcement, the firm will extend its proprietary social media intelligence solution - Conversation Miner - into Nordic languages.

CEO Rob Key says brands in the Nordic region are looking to embrace the 'power' of social media in a serious way. 'We have been working with some leading organizations in the region for over a year, and have been preparing carefully for this launch,' he adds.
