US Lift-Off Boosts Nunwood Q1 Growth

Insights agency Nunwood has reported an 18% rise in first quarter revenue to £2.8m, compared like-for-like with sales in the prior year period.

Quarterly figures were boosted by a 116% increase in Nunwood's North American operation, following co-founder Phil Rushfirth's move stateside in January, while sales in the EU rose 7%.

The firm operates worldwide from offices in Leeds, London, New York, Amsterdam, Sydney and Auckland. During the quarter, staff numbers increased by 15%: recent appointments include Candy Lui as Insight Manager, and Natalie Moreira and Matt Klausmeier as Client Consultants in New York; and Lennart Reimer and Simon Hannan as Client Consultants in the UK.

For 2010, the firm recorded double digit growth, with a 10% rise in revenues to more than £11m ($17.6m).
