Experian Debuts Customer 'Cloning' for SMEs

Database and marketing services giant Experian has launched a new service offering small businesses the chance to 'clone' their existing customers, identifying hot prospects by analysing the key characteristics of those already on the books.

The 'clone my customer' tool claims to help small businesses find highly targeted new sales leads using an 'advanced analytical cloning process'. Experian notes that many small businesses looking to find new targets are 'uncertain' about the best selection criteria to profile their audience. The new model uses carefully developed demographical profiles to build 'look-alike lists' of prospects.

Denise Hopkins, VP of Experian's Small Business Marketing Services, says the tool 'gives small businesses access to marketing analytics used by larger companies but is packaged for easy use and to better fit their needs.'

Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Experian plc had total revenue of US$4.2 billion for the year ended 31 March 2011 and employs around 15,000 people in 41 countries. Small business services can be found via www.experian.com/small-business .
