Disney's Rowe Joins Insight Research in NY

New York-based Insight Research Group has hired former Walt Disney brand strategist Cassandra Rowe as Senior Research Manager. The firm has also made a number of promotions.

Cassandra RoweFounded in 1998, Insight Research Group is based in Tribeca, NYC and offers services including segmentation and targeting strategy, brand trackers, concept development and innovation workshops.

Rowe (pictured) joins after four years with The Walt Disney Company, where as Senior Manager, Brand Strategy and Marketing Research, she used research to inform brand decisions for the cable network Disney Channels Worldwide. Earlier in her career, she managed the research department at eCivis, and served as Research Manager at Lieberman Research Worldwide.

In her new post, Rowe will focus on the culture and entertainment sectors, while gaining a view of how consumers currently use media and how they want to consume media in the changing marketplace.

The firm has also promoted Betsy Grimes to Senior Research Manager; and Ally Aleman, Alisha Alleyne, Jamie Betesh and Karen Stasiak to Research Manager roles.

Since joining the company in 2009 as Research Manager, Grimes has worked across a number of practices, from fashion to media and education. Earlier in her career, she worked at design and branding agency FITCH, where she was involved in positioning, new product development and trend analysis.

Aleman joined in 2009 from MSL Group, where she was a Research Supervisor, working with the firm's Diversity and Personal Care teams. While there, she focused on the motivational drivers of consumer behavior among women and their relationship to beauty, fashion and entertainment.

Alleyne also joined the firm in 2009, with a background in child and family-oriented psychology. She previously served as a Project Director at Judge Baker Children's Center, where she led a multi-state study to assess intervention programs for children suffering from psychological distress.

Betesh specializes in projects involving children. Before joining the company two years ago, she was an Account Executive with BBMG, and worked in promotions marketing at the Cartoon Network.

Stasiak joined the firm last year, having previously worked for eight years in the private equity industry, where she conducted competitive analysis and evaluated potential acquisitions. At Insight, she has worked on several quant and qual projects with key clients.
